Why mouth tape helps

  • Supports closed-mouth sleep

Encourages nasal breathing without locking your jaw shut.

  • Skin-safe adhesive

Made for the delicate skin around the lips — peels off cleanly.

  • Quieter, less dry mornings

Less mouth breathing means less snoring and less morning throat dryness.

HOW IT WORKS?

How to use OxiStrip mouth tapes

One strip, closed lips, nasal breathing until morning. Best with a nasal strip if your nose runs stuffy at night.

Clean and dry your mouth

Wash and thoroughly dry your lips and the skin around them. Skip balms, lipstick, and oily creams on that area.

Apply evenly

Close your mouth in a natural position and apply the tape horizontally across the lips. It holds gently while the nose stays fully clear.

Breathe and recover

That is it. The tape keeps the lips closed so you stay on nasal breathing. Pair it with a nasal strip if you want the full night stack.

WHY IT MATTERS

Mouth open at night? This is what it costs.

You wake up tired — despite 7–8 hours in bed

Mouth breathing dries the mucosa, skips the nasal filter, and drops overnight oxygenation. You clock the hours and still get up foggy.

The bedroom is loud

An open mouth lets soft throat tissue collapse. Snoring is the sound of restricted airflow — and it wrecks sleep for whoever is next to you.

Dry mouth and a raw throat every morning

Hours of mouth breathing evaporate saliva and irritate the throat. Closed lips keep the mouth wet and the air going through the nose, where it belongs.

BENEFITS

What changes when the mouth stays closed

No more morning dry mouth

Closed lips stop the throat from drying out and protect the oral mucosa overnight.

Higher nitric oxide

Nasal breathing stimulates nitric oxide, which dilates blood vessels and improves tissue oxygenation.

Quieter bedroom, less snoring

Limiting habitual mouth opening stops soft throat tissues from collapsing, which is what makes snoring loud.

MADE FOR YOU

Who sleeps with OxiStrip tape?

Snorers and their partners

If either of you sleeps with an open mouth, the whole room pays. Tape plus a nasal strip is the simplest way to quiet the night without a machine.

Dry-mouth mornings

You drink water at 3 a.m. and still wake with a desert throat. Closed lips keep saliva where it is supposed to stay.

Biohackers tracking sleep

HRV, resting heart rate, deep-sleep minutes — nasal breathing is the lever that does not need another supplement.

Anyone switching off mouth breathing

It is a habit, not a character flaw. The tape is a nightly reminder that trains the default back to the nose.

“The tape holds the lips closed and comes off if you need to open your mouth. It does not treat sleep apnoea.”
MEDICAL DEVICE

A Class I medical device with a CE mark.

That is the advantage. Before the device goes on sale, the manufacturer carries out a conformity assessment under Regulation (EU) 2017/745: it states the intended purpose, assesses safety, and includes instructions for use. The intended purpose and contraindications are written plainly. You know what goes on your skin.

QUESTIONS

Mouth tape — the questions everyone asks

It is a selling point, not a footnote. OxiStrip nasal strips and OxiStrip mouth tape are Class I medical devices, CE marked under Regulation (EU) 2017/745. Every pack includes instructions for use, and the intended purpose and contraindications are stated up front. Read them before first use. This is a medical device. Use it in accordance with the instructions for use or the label.

No. The tape gently supports closed lips and releases if you need to open your mouth. Your nose stays fully clear. If the nose is blocked, open the airway with a nasal strip first — or skip tape until it is clear.

Clear it first. Use an OxiStrip nasal strip, or pause mouth tape until you can breathe through the nose. The Combo pack exists for exactly this pairing.

Peel slowly from one side. The adhesive is made to come off cleanly. If lips are very sensitive, warm water first.

Yes. It sits on the lips and just above/below them, so light facial hair is not a problem and you will not pull hairs in the morning.

For most healthy adults, yes. It is mechanical, not medicated. Do not use it if you cannot breathe through your nose, and talk to a doctor if you have a diagnosed sleep or respiratory condition.

Yes. It encourages closed lips — it does not lock them. Cough, yawn, or mouth-breathe anytime you need to.
